|
I will be back in East Lansing August 18th around 10pm. I will of course have no place to sleep since my room is full of shit. The options:
1) The good old bower couch. Always avalible but the smell is a matter of some concern.
2) In my tent. At this point I will have spent a month straight in my tent. Whats one more night right?
3) Someone elses bed. (Voluntear bellow).

Last night: 8 beers and 3 shots which isent all that much untill on the way out of the club you read that the beer you were drinking was 12% alchool. Fuck. Today I thought my head might explode. On onther note European techno is roughly a million times better than anything in the US.

Withing 5 minutes of entering the czech republic I had bribed my first public official. A train ticket is 9 euros but if you hand the man 5 euros you get on the train without one.

Last night the girls we are staying with cooked us greek pasta and an amazing salad. 6 bottles of wine, 12 german beers, and 4 full bottles of vodka latter we went to sleep. Today my head hurts.

I am in Germany now. I did a pub crawl last night which was amazing. Even more amazing was the quantity of alchool I consumed without dying. German beer is sold by the 0.5L which is alot larger than the 12oz cans we are used to. Today I think will be a recovery day for me. I havent had a full 8 hours of sleep in far to long...

8:05 am - the price of gas
|
today i walked for miles outside the city. i found the first gas station. gas is 1.47 euro per liter (for those that are to lazy to do the math thats $6.94/gallon). We are such whiners when $2.90/gallon makes national news.
I have met so many awsome people so far its really been amazing. iv meet 3 people from isrial already and a bunch of canadians, and another girl from MI. Tonight im going out with a fasion designer from NYC who makes clothing. I also might be going to africa.
last night included a nise dosage of mushrooms and lots of smoke which is amazing. i also got to see a legal grow room with 5 plants. these people take there weed as seriously as snobs in america take there wine. its really quite astonishing.

“Last year, patient care director Colleen Becker decided to check the numbers. She looked at a daily hospital census -- about one-third of the 900 patients weighed 350 pounds or more.”
“Startled, Becker checked another date, then another. The numbers were consistent. On some days, half the patients were obese. Some weighed 500 pounds or more.”
“ATF Healthcare, a union representing 70,000 nurses and other workers at hospitals in 18 states, last week called for new laws forcing hospitals to buy equipment such as portable hoists to prevent worker injuries.”
“Lights have been added at floor level because the bodies of extremely obese people can cast a shadow that makes it hard to see the floor.”
“Some wings of Barnes-Jewish are replacing 36-inch-wide doorways with those that are 48 or 52 inches wide.”
“Operating tables have been widened because the girth of some patients was lapping over the table, in some cases all the way to the floor, Becker said. CT scan machines weren't wide enough. Syringes with the longest available needles -- 4 1/2 inches -- couldn't penetrate the fat.”

on december 28th ill be 24... which is a scary thought. I think the plan is to go to some bar weather permiting and whatch me get really drunk starting around 10:30. If you want to come show up at bower around 10. or call me :)
